Every day, over one million trees are cut down to make traditional toilet paper. We’re not so keen on killing trees just to make TP, which is why these rolls are made with 100% bamboo fibers.
Unlike trees, bamboo grows incredibly quickly, making it a sustainable alternative for toilet rolls. We source ours from cooperative plantations made up of lots of small farms. Woo, team work!

Frequently Asked Questions about our 100% Bamboo Toilet Paper
How do you whiten your bamboo TP?
Toilet paper is often whitened using a harsh chemical called chlorine (aka bleach). But because we care about your cheeks, we whiten our bamboo rolls with gentler products, namely Chlorine Dioxide and Hydrogen Peroxide.
Rumor has it, people get uncomfy when their TP isn’t sparkly white. So by making sure our rolls look the part, we can appeal to even more bums and maximize our donations. Bambooyah!
Why wrap the rolls individually?
Long story short, our rolls are individually wrapped so that they stay moisture-free and hygienic. We could wrap 6 rolls together (that’s the limit), but we’d need to use a much thicker paper. The net paper used (by weight) to wrap a 6-pack in heavy-duty paper vs. six individual rolls in the thin tissue paper we use is effectively the same. It’s either this or plastic packaging — and we hate plastic.
Will this work with septic tanks and composting toilets?
Yep, our rolls shouldn’t cause any blockages with normal use. (Just don’t go sticking a whole roll down there at once, okay?) If your septic system is particularly sensitive to bamboo products, you might want to try our 100% Recycled Toilet Paper, which is likely to break down faster.

I've been buying TP from Who Gives a Crap for awhile now and am very happy with the TP. It is lovely and soft and the outer wrapping is fantastic addition as it adds style to your bathroom. I don't find it any more expensive than other TPs and they contribute part of their profits to charity. Really well worth it!!
